So May is going to be about Adelaide in my People and Places album - yes- I am behind - ha ha - what's new?
The rest of this week will be wanderings around the CBD - then there will be Botanic Gardens, Adelaide Zoo, Art Gallery and Museum - with a bit of Greenday maybe hahaha

Great view, I do love Adelaide. It's the city size I feel comfortable in. Melbourne's three times the size of the Melbourne I grew up in. Yuk!!

@golftragic Sydney is growing at a rapid rate and I it makes me unhappy - Adelaide was a lovely city and yes I agree a good size.

@annied We're on the same song sheet. One of the things I like about living in Geelong is that it's a fair dinkum 30-minute city, in fact from where we live it's a 10-15 minute city, and one where housing's still affordable.

@golftragic housing here is shockingly expensive for what you get - and gone are the days of a house with a yard - it's all duplex, townhouse and apartments - horrible

@annied Couldn't agree more. Whatever happened to the backyard kids could play cricket in? Yeah, I know, greed. We live in a modest-sized home on an old quarter-acre block. And all round us when similar homes and blocks come up for sale, bloody developers snap 'em up and put bloody two-story units on 'em. We're quite prepared to look at downsizing, but both of us (a) want to stay in this area; and (b) have mobility problems so anything with stairs is out of the question. So we're staying put!!
