Over the past week or so this lovely chap ( Crimson Rosella ) has taken to flying down to sit on the pool fence and chat with our cockatiels. I don't know he is there until I hear his beautiful song and our birds start singing back. Usually my big Nikon (the one I need for this) is in another room or the card is being used in my comp and I don't want to rip it out quickly. Today all was good except he was hiding behind the foliage - focus was difficult to get because I have to shoot through our screen door so as not to scare him away.....so first pic is the original...second was trying to sharpen etc.. to my liking, third..I decided to go all arty and use the watercolour and other effects to see what happened....
I love birds that have such bright colored feathers. I have some lorikeets that come by every afternoon as well and sit on my back fence. They're so pretty.
@paul2782 thanks Paul - I hope to get a good shot of him one day - when me or the dog doesn't scare him away and I can open the door..lol..I have thought of sitting out there like a statue hoping he'll turn up!
@jetpics We have lorikeets visit too - you know when they are around all the noise they make - and the occasional King Parrot and Eastern Rosellas- oh and always cockatoos
