Never in a million years… by atchoo

Never in a million years…

… would I have thought, that I would be able to post a photo like this… I reeeeeeally don't like spiders - and certainly not, when they are as big as this one! But - as they say: Face your fears… (at least from the safety of being on the other side of the glass)...

I mentioned a while back, that spiders like to build big webs in our yard ( http://365project.org/atchoo/365/2018-08-04 ).
Today I noticed this - it's kind of hard to miss, since it's sitting comfortably at eye level in the window frame of our patio door just on the other side of the glass...

A bit of googling revealed that it’s a female garden spider (Araneus diadematus) also called cross spider... I think I will name her Jessica Drew.

Gear used: Olympus OM-D E-M5 + Olympus MMF-3 Four Thirds adapter + Olympus Zuiko f3.5/35mm Macro.
