Another comparison shot today. It is such a shame that the oil seed rape crop is so poor this year as this could have been a lot different if it had. Take a look at he same spot back in march.

Looks like your farmers are in for a hard year. But, the colour of the canola is very dramatic!

@rich101 @khirsch @jennymaidment @nbs @cathieg @snaggy @farmreporter Thanks for the comments I think the crop is patchy largely down to the cold and excessively wet weather that we had late on last year. Also slugs probably had a contribution as well as the conditions suited them so there were so many.

Very cool to see both pics. What creates the big "lines" or ruts in the field? They seem like wheel tracks but they would be so large compared to the size if the tree.
