@wilsonandstaciephotography@sansjuan@heartinla1999@calm Thanks for stopping by and leaving your comments, everyone! We have been here in Alaska since 1987 and snow by late September or early October just goes with the territory! :-) It really IS very pretty and we get some unique pink light on the treetops, etc. as the sun sinks lower on the horizon. Here in the Interior by December 21st we only have about 3 hours of daylight! That makes outdoor photography a challenge for this newbie! :-)
@bjywamer God must give you an extra measure of grace to be able to handle so little sunlight. I'm already missing the longer days of daylight where I live!
@tristansmum Thank you, Stephanie! Thankfully, our snow stays nice and white nearly everywhere, as our highway crews don't use the black cinders like we were accustomed to seeing dirty the roadways back East all winter.
@ziggy77 Thanks, Jo! I actually like snow, too (and especially snowmen, of which I have a growing collection). I would even miss it if we ever move somewhere that doesn't get any! However, it just stays on the ground here so long that we tend to forget what bare ground and green grass look like!
@calm Yes, He does, Cathy! He is the One who brought us to Alaska and He provides all we need to remain until reassigned! :-) Even the grace to endure long, dark winters!
@edorreandresen@carolnorman Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment! I am enjoying getting to know so many through our shared interest in photography!
