Ed and I had our first attempt at carving a pumpkin - never too old huh? It just wasnt really done when we were kids.
Just gone 5pm, we're armed with more chocolate than cadburys and just had the first trick or treaters, aged about 5 years old.. nearly ended in tears tho as one little boy realised he didnt get any sweets and came back with his chin wobbling..
Top job! They are amazing. We've only had one lot so far - very sweet tiny tots with their parents - but I bet we don't get any more - they don't seem to go in for it in a big way here.
I was considering carving my pumpkin and take a pic before eating it but decided instead to get straight into turning it into a casserole. You did well to carve as the skin is bloody tough eh? Love what you did with these and I hope you cooked them afterwards!
@cindy Sadly we dont like the taste.. and even though I love pumpkin seeds, I forgot about them in the oven and they burnt.. hope you had more success!!
@blightygal I actually remembered my roast pumpkin seeds with salt, paprika and garlic seasoning and they turned out to be delicious. I still have some left for a snack.
I get back after the weekend and there you are, still all over the pop page again!!! You little star! Love your pumpkins and great set up with the steps and leaf and all. We didn't do anything halloweeny, had some chocs at the ready but nobody called....miserable old *** round our way!! LOL Jools was totally brill yesterday was 'domestic'. Happy Monday!
We had a few knock on the door , think my dad sorted them some chocolate. If I had my way....Grrrr bloody ankle biters
