Trials and tribulations of old cameras. Yesterday I broke a film rewind lever. Some crusty old film sent to me by James Tocchio of Casual Photophile got hung up and from impatience and the camera will be off to DAG Camera for repair along with my new old M3. Dan at DAG is a wonderful craftsman in Wisconsin. This was shot about a month ago using a Pentax 645, an incredible workhorse of a camera. I shot digital today for the first time in quite a while (Oct 17 image). Sometimes I run out of gas with film, but I always return. There is an allure to it, perhaps from needing to slow down. My life is otherwise hurtling at breakneck speed. Film puts the brakes (and breaks) on....
