Playing with a new long lens, shot from a great distance at F8 handheld. Why I was at F8 is a riddle. The image is still reasonably sharp at ISO 6400. Modern cameras really have great capabilities. I applied some noise reduction and probably should not have, it softened the facial features.
Congrats on getting a new lens! Always nice to add a new tool to the tool box! Have fun learning all its' capabilities!

I am not sure what is truly sharp. But then, your shutter speed was fairly slow so that may have affected it as well.
@farmreporter Hi Wendy, I was photographing the people from a very long distance away with a 500mm lens with the sensor it became 750mm. I was testing the lens (and camera) in low light at high ISO. Noise reduction made unsharp areas at inception even more smeary, probably the reason I never use noise reducton, but another experiment....Since this was handheld at F8, I think the combo is a good one for birds, assuming I can find some!
