Slash burn

Slash-and-burn is an agricultural technique that involves the cutting and burning of plants in forests or woodlands to create fields. This is not creating fields, this is agriculture, tree farms. Once the logs have been removed, the waste, the branches, stumps are piled up and set to dry. This piles, and they go over the hill in the distance and behind the foreground stump and behind this vantage point, were covered with tarps to keep them dry. Today the torch was put to them and burn they did. Within a month or so, the planters will walk the area and plant new trees. In about five years, the young trees will hid the stumps that remain, in twenty years, the trees will be as tall as the ones in the distance.
