We visited the SoulSpace Sanctuary. It is owned by a gal who bought an old farm, and has 30+ "residents" as she calls them (Rescued farm animals that would of otherwise not survived).
Besides Amos, we met a large pig named Wally, who made an escape after he jumped off a truck heading to a slaughter house and a duck who suffered a brain injury. A sheep who was very neglected and had his poor ears chewed off by dogs where he previously lived. It was sad to hear of their stories, but cool to see them so happy in their new home.
The animals have a lot of space, and are well cared for and loved. They LOVE attention, and each have a unique personality. It was interesting that most animals pair up with another critter and become buddies. (The donkey is besties with the pig).
The owner just recently started giving tours of her farm. She gets more calls each week for people who want to bring her animals, but unfortunately she can't take them ALL in.
thanks everyone
I'm allergic to alot of things. Fortunately not many critters - but the hay really sets my asthma off
