This is the necklace I always wear. It was a gift from a dear friend. Almost 5 years ago, my husband, Tom, died after a long battle of Glioblastoma (brain cancer). My friend Heidi had lost her husband to cancer also. She made me ask the funeral home to get Tom's fingerprint. Then she ordered me this beautiful necklace, with his fingerprint etched on it. The back is engraved with his name. I use to reach up and touch it so often that the rough, raised engraved grooves are starting to feel smooth to the touch. I like that I can carry a part of him with me.
I think it's great that people can have and wear memorial jewelry like this.
Wow, that is lovely! what a fantastic idea. I've never heard of that before. Nice to carry him close to your heart. Brain cancer is a dreadful disease. I lost my father to it.
This is beautiful... as I was reading your story I was rubbing my heart necklace that I have in memory of my daughter that died of breast cancer 5 1/2 years ago ... so no exactly where you are coming from .. fav and follow...
A beautiful photo of such a sentimental piece of jewellery. Such an awful thing to have to go through. My friend wears a similar one. Her husband lost his battle with bowel cancer almost 2 years ago.

I'm grateful for whoever came up with the idea to create these.
