Douglas Lake

I drove down to visit my sister for a little while today. I stopped by the lake on the way home. I grew up only a few miles from here. The French Broad River was dammed up by the Tennessee Valley Authority for the purpose of generating power. Douglas Lake, near the Great Smoky Mountains, resulted.

A gorgeous pov of such a beautiful place! Do they do much fishing around there, Cathy! I don't see any fishing boats ... so probably not. I love the Smoky Mountain area. Gorgeous!

@karenann Yes, mostly bass I think... there was a BassMasters tournament on television the other day that was at Douglas Lake. Most of the boats were probably off in the coves... popular spot for water-skiing and jet-skiing as well.
