Pray for the people of the Great Smoky Mountains... wildfire is rampant.
This is an older photo... I am asking any who would to pray for family and friends who live near Gatlinburg, TN where wildfires are rampant. Sevier County is where I am from, lots of friends and family there. This is a photo of my grandparent's home (new owners and remodeled)... it is in an area that is being evacuated. My heart is heavy for the people there... the wildlife, the mountains, for the many memories made in the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. Rain is arriving, but the winds are high... prayers too for all the firefighters and first responders.
@seattlite Thank you, Gloria. I am heart broken, concerned, anxious ... my sister and nephew are ok for now, and all the aunts, uncles and cousins have yet to be evacuated. My cousins have a couple of businesses in downtown Gatlinburg... no word yet. Prayers are much needed and appreciated!
@danette Thank you for the prayers... I am learning of more classmates who have lost their homes. I have also learned of a couple of homes that we feared were lost have been spared so far... still fires in the area and wind expected tonight, then rain.
