Rock Cairn by calm

Rock Cairn

The true purpose of rock stacks in the part of the country where I live (different meaning in different countries, origins most likely Scotland) is to point you in the right direction, a navigational marker for hikers. This seemed an appropriate image for the beginning of a New Year, 2022. I want to begin the new year in the right direction. But the Bible is my true north. So that is where I’ll begin. I am reminded today our days are numbered and we should make the most of the time we are given. My cousin’s husband, who I have known for more than 50 years, went to be with Jesus this morning. My heart aches for his wife and only son. Peace and comfort found in the fact that he was a believer and he has begun more than just a new year, he has begun a new step of eternity that began in his heart a long time ago.
Lovely image. I am so sorry about your loss. I agree that the Bible is the true north.
