We hired a car today, the worst day for weather. Rain and thunderstorms this afternoon. But we travelled the length of the island, visited an old 11th century Venetian fortress ruin (the Castle of St George), followed by a magnificent breakfast at a nearby taverna. In the afternoon we watched this storm over the harbour of Sami, with a group of other Brits, sheltering under the porch of another bar.
