Survival of an Amaryllis by caterina

Survival of an Amaryllis

After two months in lockdown in the Dolomites, we came back to the valley for a few days. As expected almost all the plants, inside and out, have died for lack of watering, EXCEPT the Amaryllis that has four flowers in bloom. The beautiful thing is that this bulb was brought to us by @mona65 the first time that she came to Verona, two and a half years ago. Every year this plant has produced amazing flowers, even this strange springtime. I like to see it as a sign of hope and of the resilience of friendship. Thank you Amaryllis and thank you Mona!

How nice to see the wonder of the Amaryllis is here again. It's a wonderful plant. And it good to read that you see great sympolism in the re-flowering in this dificult year. It's like a "toast" to our friendship. Hugs. Mona

How dramatic that the ONLY flower is your amaryllis from Mona! A sure sign of a lasting friendship.

Such a lovely commentary - except of course I am sorry that you have lost most of your plants. Great to celebrate the survivor and friendship though. And I like the dulled down version of your flower.
