I know, I know: it couldn’t be more postcard-ish than this. Venice, sunset, the silhouette of The church della Salute, AND the gondolas! But it was so beautiful as to be breathtaking and I thought that those of you who have been to Venice might cherish the memories, while those who have never visited this city should consider going there. In November, though, to avoid the crowds
@briaan@tunia thank you. Nice to hear that you like Venice. We live not far from it and go there whenever we can. Also, my husband was born in Venice and spent all his childhood and adolescence there, until he left for the university
Perhaps cliched, but there is a reason for it to be so popular a checklist of Venice-images and your composition brings it together beautifully. Sigh. You took me there on my last trip to Italy! (I might suggest trimming off the right edge of the photo and if you need to rebalance the shape, maybe a bit off the bottom?)
