Cooper’s Hawk by cdcook48

Cooper’s Hawk

My wife spotted this hawk sitting on a branch in our back yard this morning. A hawk sighting in our yard is extremely rare and I was lucky enough to capture this shot of him before he flew away. In fact, it was probably me who scared him. I was using my old Canon DSLR and I’m sure he heard the noisy clunk of the mirror.
Amazing shot!

They are impressive looking. Just hope none of your little birds were sacrificed, but then, I guess the hawk needs to eat too.
