A visit to the marina this morning to look for reflections on the water and boats in need of some TLC. This was one of several rowboats propped up on a rack. I have photographed them before and probably will again!
For the current artist challenge (Ernst Haas). I spent quite a lot of time looking at his photos online this week. This was inspired by some of his abstracts.
I've just realised it also fits the EOTB (beauty is in the eye of the beholder) challenge, so will tag it for that too.
@chikadnz this is something I am battling with - taking photos in public places - I am naturally very self conscious - so many times wanted to take a shot but walked on !
@portela I know exactly what you mean. There was hardly anyone around at the marina which made it easier. There was a main road nearby and lots of cars whizzing past but I doubt if anyone was paying much attention to me. I try to act confident and not let myself be put off by people watching me. What kind of shots are you missing? I'd love to do more street photography but find it much harder to photograph people than 'things' in public (things don't protest or confront!). I'm bolder when I'm with someone else who's also taking photos, eg my husband. It helps to have my camera in my hand ready to go. I usually have to take a photo or two to get started (might not be very good ones), I liken it to priming the pump, if you know what I mean.
@jernst1779@pistache Thanks ladies for your comments! This image has had a better reception than I expected. I thought the beauty might have been only in my eye. :-)
