Our daughter and son-in-law live in Ashburton but are having a house built at Mt Somers. We went out with them today to see how it's progressing.
This is the view from their house (not yet completed) looking back down the driveway to the neighbour's house. Granddaughter #1 enjoyed racing her remote control car (a birthday present) along the driveway and across the grass.
The mountains were covered with cloud today. We're looking forward to seeing snow on them.
There is an interesting little town here and we expect to be back to explore more in future.
I'm trying to fill in some more gaps in my project...
