What makes me happy #21 ?
Finding beauty everywhere...
We were having lunch outside and this disgusting big fly came on the table next to ours, everybody was trying to make her fly away without touching it, but she stayed here....so I did what I had to do : take my camera ! Isn't she nice ?
Yesterday's snapshot was flying; today's a fly....hmmm. Good philosophy: if you're given lemons, make lemonade; if you're given a giant fly, make a giant macro.
Wow, did you have your macro lens with you?!! You really are determined to find beauty everywhere, aren't you?!! Those "happy pills" are certainly working... ;-))))
BTW, did you ever see the original The Fly movie? I saw it when I was at a very young impressionable age, and haunted me throughout my childhood....there's a creature you don't want to be caught up in a time chamber with!! Great close-up, though...
@panthora of course I know that film, the first from David Cronenberg, it was probably the first movie that scared me to death too ;)
No I didn't take this with a macro lense, but with my little Sony RX100, I was just at few centimeters from the fly...I'm courageous !
There is an old tradition to give sugar to the first fly of the spring. But I don't even remember, what was it good for ... perhaps the flies won't bother you for the rest of the summer then?
This is a beautiful image of such a disgusting creature haha--Love the capture here on the napkin!
