The town has decided to create an event and has put beds with mattress, table and chairs in different squares downtown, it's fun.
Some are well trained and take of their shoes before jumping on the bed!
@kwind cobblestones are nice to see, but a nightmare for high heels and whatever the shoes you are wearing dangerously sliding when it's raining ;)
But it was fun to see people in bed in the street ;)
what is its significance? in here, things like this would be inhabited by the homeless people and it would be difficult to get rid of them. also it would give more excuses for the weirdos to do things that aren't supposed to be done in public. i remember last year, a couple was arrested when they had sex in one of the subway trains, perhaps they wanted to give it their all, got out of the train and finished it off on the platform at the next stop. people kept taking their photos with their iPhones and cellphones before anyone had the presence of mind to call the cops. :-)

In Switzerland there is probably insane people also...but there is a very important rule that everybody has to respect, it's discretion...I think Swiss don't show, they don't like it, they are very respectful...so as you can see these beds were occupied by students having fun..they took their shoes off and put the sheets correctly when they left... I'm feeling very lucky to live here and offer that quiet life to my kids..
You know Im French, and we we saw this with my husband we thought that if you offer the same in France, it would be broken, stolen, damaged...
So what was the purpose ? I really don't know...I just hope they will offer these beds to an association in need after..
