The Guardhouse Cafe

This is one of my favourite cafes, at Berry Head in Devon. You can't beat the location high on the cliff. It has the most amazing views! It's open all year so it's equally great for watching winter storms with a hot chocolate or sitting in the sun with ice cream in summer! Today there were some menacing clouds which suited the black & white.
Great photo, love the b&w and how the sun peeps over the top.

Looks mysterious. What did it used o be a guard house for?

@365projectorgjenfurj It was built in the early 19th century & used to be a guardhouse for a battery of guns used for defending the area during the Napoleonic War. There has been some form of tea room on the site for over 100 years!
