Misery

Hubby and I went to see an exhibition of Scottish artist Gordon Cockburn. Having visited Auschwitz in 1993, Ayrshire based artist Gordon Cockburn felt so profoundly moved to paint about the experience that a large part of the ensuing decade became dedicated to creating a collection of over 200 art works. Very unsettling and moving images.
They say 'art' should reach the emotions. And you can't remain unmoved seeing images like this.

Interesting narrative Lesley.
I visited Auschwitz & Birkenau camps a few years ago & was moved to tears by the images, stories & exhibits that can be seen there...... it really was a moving experience.
This must be a very interesting art collection.

This captures such a feeling of despair it is hard not to be moved by seeing it.
