Hubby and I went to see an exhibition of Scottish artist Gordon Cockburn. Having visited Auschwitz in 1993, Ayrshire based artist Gordon Cockburn felt so profoundly moved to paint about the experience that a large part of the ensuing decade became dedicated to creating a collection of over 200 art works. Very unsettling and moving images.
Interesting narrative Lesley.
I visited Auschwitz & Birkenau camps a few years ago & was moved to tears by the images, stories & exhibits that can be seen there...... it really was a moving experience.
This must be a very interesting art collection.
Thanks for your comments, yes it was a very moving exhibition. @elida @dizzyd (I don't think I could do it Helen :() @thistle @happypat (yes I still think about the images) @keenamateur
