This old old tree stands in Grinkle Park grounds, it’s the strangest one I have seen in many a year. The trunk splits and meanders left where it grows upright again(like an elbow) it looks like another tree to the left but is actually the branch that is split from the main trunk. Its upper branches spread across the drive in a tangle. It’s certainly a weird growth! I just wonder what happened to make it grow this way. We wondered if it might have been struck by lightening splitting the trunk and it recovered in that position.
