Bottoms up! by craftymeg

Bottoms up!

Over the moors the sheep are starting to feel the winter chill. We noticed the temp was 5c but the wind chill was a lot cooler.
I liked this shot as it shows what wonderfully long fleeces they have for winter, it takes just 6 months to grow to this length and how they always have their backs to the wind, this ewe was the only one that turned when it heard the camera shutter.
Nice on black

Thank you to all who visited and left comments and favs.

Lovely, Margaret. And you can just see how the wind is blowing into that fleece lowering her body temperature. "Please don't shear me yet!!"

Love this shot. It's a wonder their feet don't get cold, since they don't have fluffy "boots" too.

Many woollens will be made out of the fleece of just one sheep. Nature is amazing.
