On the North York Moors overlooking Westerdale is this 3 meter high sculpture. He is sitting on a stool with a leather Gladstone bag on his knees with his arms resting across the bag. He is quite imposing and we didn't know he was there until it being featured on the news.
The sculpture is Sean Henry the same sculpter that did the looking out to sea sculptures at New-Biggin-by-the-sea. I have left a gent looking up at him give an idea of scale. It was taken from a distance so is not the best of focus,
Its a shame I am not able to walk on the moors with my foot being fused, it would have been nice to get a closer look. He is there for 5 years and there were quite a few people milling around him. His view is stupendous looking over the vale of Wensleydale.

Thank you for all your fantastic comments and favs each and everyone is appreciated.
What a wonderful piece of sculpture , sitting there and looking over the moors - shame you can not do the walking on the moors no more ( I know the feeling !! ) but amazing how wonderful a zoom lens can bring things nearer to us !
Margaret I was watching TV last night and on they were talking about the new sculptor just installed at the Hills Golf Course in Arrowtown/Queenstown (NZ) and I recognised it as the mate of this fellow .. Here is the link https://www.facebook.com/sevensharp/ hope that works ...
