I am so pleased, they turned out! They have just been sandwiched together and are orange flavoured. I was so sick of wasting ingredients this is just a one egg mix, I got 10 near perfect macarons and no breakages, so now they are sat in the fridge for 24 hours to become unctuous and wonderfully flavoured then wrapped separately in cling film and frozen for the family at Christmas. I have just one more lot to make hopefully the will turn out too. The more mistakes I make the more I learn!
Nice on black
Thank you for all your lovely comments and favs all are appreciated and welcome
Wonderful - well don they look delicious ! - I was only remembering yesterday of your display of your macarons - last Christmas ! - how fast the year has rolled by ! fav
They look better than many store bought ones Margaret, I bet they taste better too. Would you mind sharing your recipe please, I have had no success with them yet ;-)
@busylady Hi Judith yes you can freeze them they will keep one month in the freezer but you could leave them longer you just take them out let them defrost and come up to room temperature and depending on what sort of filling used they freeze well. But you must leave them to warm through at room temperature so they get that nice chewy consistency when you bite into them crispy on the outside chewy on the inside, beautiful, I’ve never had a taste of these but they were cooked just right, I only got 10 but it was only a one egg mix so none to spare.
Will you try one first? I didn't realise you could freeze them.
