When I was little, we would put pairs of shoes out the night of the 5th, in case the kings came by and needed them for their journey. On the morning of the 6th, we would always find just one shoe and a little gift in the shoe. The kings only ever needed one and would gift us something in exchange.
@kali66 Remnants of my Catholic childhood. My mother always took down the Christmas things the day after Three Kings Day. So as a child, I always thought of the 6th as the last day of Christmas.
