Dubai at last!

finally arrived about 8.30am Dubai time after what was supposed to be 13.1/2 hours but which extended into about 17 hours! Half way between Malaysia and India, over the Indian Ocean, the Captain reported a medical emergency on board and that we were going to land in Phuket. This meant dumping tons of fuel at sea (quite a sight) and 1.1/2 hours on the tarmac (no getting out of ours seats) till we could be on our way again. Our discomfort would be nothing compared to the passenger taken off and I sincerely hope all went well for them. Now we are at our hotel and looking forward to a day or so seeing the sights.

At your destination at last!!! I'm sorry for the passenger and for y'all having to be diverted!! At least you didn't have the experience I did on a 11 hour flight!
