my first view of a real Dutch windmill! After visiting my Uncle's war grave in Rotterdam we are having a couple of nights in Amsterdam before going on to Bruges in Belgium
Fabulous. I used to have a fantasy of wanting to live in a windmill when I was a child. Not sure my knees could cope with the stairs these days though, ha ha.
How exciting! I'd love to be able to say I'd seen a real Dutch windmill. Thanks for sharing your view of one. (I like the inclusion of the old wooden fence in the foreground.)
@cimes1 thanks Carole for your comments. We sure did have fun and no time to post or comment over the last few days. Back in London now for 5 more precious days with our family then its back home to winter
