Darebin Parklands by cruiser

Darebin Parklands

whilst we were in Melbourne we went on some lovely bush walks not far from the city. This is part of a Spiritual Healing Trail, a gift from the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community as a gesture of reconciliaion. here nature will welcome and refresh you. There are four designated sites where you will be encouraged to gather your thoughts, let the water wash away issues you have no control over, draw energy from the good things in your life and take one step at a time to overcome big obstacles.
Looks amazingly calm

I love your shot and the explanation. So many powerful locations are in ordinary places, easily accessible and easily overlooked if we aren't paying attention. The Islander community gifted this spiritual healing trail to the larger community?

@teiko this bushland is only 15 minutes from the city of Melbourne. The Spiritual Healing Trail was concieved by the Darebin Aboriginal Reconciliation Working Party, with approval of the Wurundjeri people (the traditional custodians of the land) and the local aboriginal community, local councils and park rangers. Being surrounded by nature is always a healing experience isnt it.
