tried to photograph the Galahs on the oval today. They are so used to people walking with their dogs that its very hard to make them take flight. I had to make a sudden move to get them to even rise a few inches and then they settled again only a short distance away.
Terrific action capture! I'm smiling thinking of you making that sudden move to get them to fly. Funny the things we do to get the shot we've envisioned. :-)
