yes, fell flat on my face on Tuesday and as well as a black eye and painful arm I have a suspected cracked rib. I had just left the library and fell on my bag of books which did the damage. Just as well I had borrowed four as I now have plenty of time for reading. Not much enthusiasm for taking photos but lots of time to look at yours. @happypat Pat and @onewing Babs I have now joined your club
Oh Chris! I hope the pain and swelling are down a bit by now- so sorry to hear about your accident! Well, you might not be doing a lot of walking for a while, but I imagine there are some fun things to photograph right from where you sit. A good photographer (which you are!) sees a photo everywhere!
Ouch! Hope you recover soon. You just didn't want to be left out did you.
One thing this does to you though is it makes you so much more creative in your photography.
You could take a photo of your books and call it "The Culprit" and you could take a photo of your black eye too. There's two ideas for starters.
Happy reading though while you are out of action and keep taking the pain killers.
thankyou all my dear friends for your good wishes. I am slowily losing some of the stiffness and I think the "knife" has been removed from between my ribs at last. i will have a chest xray on Tuesday just to check for cracks. :)
Oh dear this club is getting too big Chris! I never saw this post until today so had no idea you had fallen. A cracked rib is very painful every time you breathe, hope you are a little more comfortable by now. A fall shakes you up no end as well as the damage. You will have had your exray by now so hope things aren't as bad as it seems. I have got very lazy I'm afraid & don't want to move out of the chair! Take care & breathe slowly!
@happypat thanks for your good wishes Pat. Xray showed no bones broken just soft tissue injuries thank goodness. I'm sure when you are up on your feet again all your energy will come back.
