ice balls

weather direct from Antarctica today only 5C at lunchtime. we had huge thunderstorms and then an even bigger hailstorm where the hailstones lay on the ground like snow for about 4 hours. I used to like sucking them when I was a child :)
Wow! They are really impressive.

They look quite big. Wouldn't like to be out in a thunderstorm with hail like that.

Huge hailstones - must've been very cold for them not to melt.

Oh Wow, they are huge. 20 degrees here today but going to be colder tomorrow. I don't think I could cope with 5 degrees.

They almost look like a mass of white mushrooms! I hope there weren't too many dings and dents in places you didn't want them after this. Good shot!

@wordpixman @sangwann @dide @onewing @seattlite @365projectorgjenfurj @johannaf @pyrrhula @pennystot @thistle @olivetreeann @joemuli bet you would have appreciated a few dropped down the back of your shirt :) @dawnee @suklassen @koalagardens @ninaganci
I had to be very careful driving through it and in some places it was just like snow. Many huge trees came down in the storm and I had to make a detour as one had fallend across the road. @cjphoto should have collected a few and put them in the freezer
