first the roof gutters had to come off. This did not take long as the front ones were starting to fall off by themselves!!

@peggysirk yes they have been hanging up there for 40 years so definitely time for a facelift

I don't want to be in your place with all that work going on. We build in stone and concrete as if the place will never go and each time we need to renovate it is a hell of a job.

@sangwann yes I can imagine. Our house is made from bricks but after 40 years the roof needs painting and gutters replacing. When it comes to painting the walls and ceilings on the inside there will be a terrible mess with stuff moved everywhere. A good chance for a bit of a clearout I think.

Great shot of the gutters. I wander where are they made of ? iron? Use zinc. Or a good (314) Stainless Steel.

@pyrrhula they are made from galvaised iron. The new ones come already painted which saves time
