the Loquat pickers by cruiser

the Loquat pickers

there used to be an old house down near our local park. It is long gone but there are still a few trees left. This Loquat was loaded with fruit so my husband, under supervision of our dog, picked a bag full and made some jam. Lot of work for 2 jars but very satisfying.
Oh that looks sensational! I'm sucker for such a giving tree! How irresistible is, :Pssst! Over here... Free Fruit!"

Is it loquat season already? They always remind me of sitting in the trees feasting on them as a kid.

Lovely image - our tree is loaded too, but I've never made jam from them.

I don't know if we have Loquats here. Since I'd never heard of them, I guess we don't! They remind me of Apricots. Do they taste like them too? The jam sounds yummy. Good collage!

They must have been good! We have Loquat tree's in north India and I can remember them from my childhood there. In Mumbai they are available sometimes.

thankyou Veena, Susan and Ann. they make very nice jam, a little bit like plum jam but when they are small they are a lot of work for not a lot of jam but its nice to find free fruit and a shame to let them go to waste
