the wild Fig tree has a good crop too. Must be from all the rain we had in winter. My husband is eyeing them off for a future jam making session. Hope he gets to them before someone else or even the birds.
Do you eat these, too. I don't but my wife is never fed up eating them - one of her most favourite fruit but expensive to buy even if it can grow as a wild tree.
I'll be showing this picture to my husband who has recently discovered a passion for dried figs. This is such a good pic of the fruit in its growing stage.
Yes, I think your little visitor might want a nibble or two after all the tree trimming! They look beautiful and it sounds so wonderful to be able to pick your own off your own tree! Great shot!
Really love ripe freshly picked fig, but so do wasps! I had a fig tree outside a previous home but had to move it away from the house because of these nasty vicious attackers! FAV
Wow you have a great crop coming on - Mine have now finished for this year and the leaves are everywhere!!!
Two trees and a freezer full of fruit and big jars full of dried figs. It has been a bumper year for them.
Hope you get a good selection :-)
glad you enjoyed the figs :) I love fig and cinnamon jam but not too crazy about figs theselves, something about the seeds I think
Reminds me of my childhood, where almost every neighbour had a fig tree
@gaylewood as these are along a public pathway I dont know who will get to them first
@yaorenliu @koalagardens @jodies @karlow75 @ninaganci @wordpixman
these pump figs are growing along a public pathway so it remains to be seen whether we get any or not. It is growing next to a creek and obviously likes its environment
