but nothing at all to do with an Aussie Christmas where we are expecting 38c on Christmas Day and 40c on Boxing Day!

Good gracious! 100°F. Guess you're not dreaming of a white Christmas! Actually, here in North Carolina we're expecting a high of 65°F/18°C...right in the middle of your white hot Christmas and a snowy white Christmas. Unusually warm for us this time of year.

Long ago we learned from our friends in Oz that Christmas is that which is featured in England with snow and old fashioned scenes. You all at least recognize that, where here, in So Calif, people with lawns full of Christmas decorations, will put down cotton batting to make it look cold! It's harder to hide the palm trees!

Whoa, I didn't realise it was going to get that hot!

thanks for all your comments. we did have a stinking ot day but thank goodness it cooled of for Boxing Day. I have a few Aussie decorations but people and shops still seem to love the snow effect.

LOL that is definitely a New England Christmas! As you can see from Louise's post- not all the States enjoy snow at Christmas. We were in Kentucky this year and it was somewhere around 60 degrees F- which is really warm for winter! We went outside after Christmas dinner wearing just our sweaters! I can't say I missed the cold, in fact I think I could get quite used to the mild Southern winters!
