Oh, that's truly the picture of *freshness*! We have the same sort of apple tree that wasn't doing so well, and Ken was going to take it down. After pruning it extensively I suggested leaving it and seeing what would happen, and it's beginning to look great again! If anything comes of it, the birds can enjoy it, too!
