never had a chance before to sit and watch how they resurface a road and I found it very interesting. The local Council evidently only had the funds to do half the road and the repairs stop at the house before us. They still havnt been back to put the hot mix down but I had a good chat to one of the workers and learned all about the recipe.
It's the same here- they patch a little at a time to supposedly keep costs down. My husband used to do this with his father. It's a hot job! And your collage shows the process nicely.
@olivetreeann thankyou Ann. Dont usually get to watch this activity as its mostly something I am driving around in my car so I enjoyed watching the process and hearing about it too. The man in the gravel truck was covered in dust.
@rosie1610 :) never thought to ask @danette its a neverending process isnt it @cjphoto me too! so nice to drive on @dawnee thankyou Dawnee @pyrrhula thank you Pyrrhula @lyndemc thankyou Denise. Always something new to learn @veengupta now we have to wait till next year for the rest of the road to be renewed @365projectorgjenfurj very interesting to talk to people who do these 'everyday' jobs
It seems like EVERYWHERE road work is being done like the race to completion is on! Just looked at the comments, and as I'd heard, it's happening all over our country. Our town in So Cal is down to one passing lane everywhere! We'll be glad to see it completed!
