I have decided that one of the reasons I fall so far behind at the moment is that I am too critical of the photos I take. I have very little time to spend taking photos so they are usually very spontaneous and with luck some of them turn out ok. So here is one I was going to delete but decided to let it go through
@olivetreeann yes, thanks Ann. I think at the moment I will just have to focus on getting them posted. It takes up all of my 365 time just looking at the wonderful pics posted by my friends. Dont know how you manage with hundreds!
@cruiser I understand- although with your ace membership you can pop over to Picmonkey and do some quick editing before you put up the final post. My system is only to view and comment on people who have viewed and commented on my shots. Every once and a while I go through the home page but that's only if I have time- and that's not often these days! I do have a large number of followers but not all of them comment on my photos so that keeps the number of pictures I have to look at down as well!
@olivetreeann that's seems a good system Ann, especially when pressed for time. I do use Picmonkey a lot of the time but havnt yet got into the extra offerings available to ace members. Its a pity you have to post the photo first and then work on it if you want to use the extras for free
Great silhouettes and lines in this shot...I'm glad you're still posting your great shots. My shots are usually a day old and not perfect. It's too much pressure. I think you should go at your own pace and have fun :).
@seattlite thankyou Gloria for your good advice. I do like to look and comment on nearly everyone's shots and this can take quite a while. Just need to let the pressure off and make sure I am enjoying the project.
I love this silhouette image! Your narrative and all the comments have been so interesting to read . . . I am extremely critical of my photos also and spend way too much time deciding which one to post and then making decisions about cropping, contrast, colors, etc. I love viewing and commenting on photos posted by my friends but because of time issues, I start out as Ann does, viewing and commenting on those who have viewed and commented on my shots and then if time allows, I'll go through the reel of all the latest photos from my friends and comment on those. It certainly does take a lot of time to stay up to date posting photos and viewing/commenting on photos. :-)
I'm giving this a fave for going with what you have, and for not trying so hard to self criticize! I adore crows and blackbirds, and even in the thumbnail, this caught my eye! Would have been a pity to trash it!
@koalagardens yes, good advice indeed
@susiemc thanks Sue
