we have many wild olive trees around our neighbourhood. they are considered a pest as they take over natural bushland. the birds love them and of course spread the seeds. the olives are very small and dont have much flesh on them. I adore olives but wouldnt be bothered collecting these. Olives however are grown commercially in South Australia
@whatsfordessert thankyou @lilminimonka no they're not poisonous but very small and not much flesh. you could use them if you could be bothered @pennystot very hard to get rid of once they get a hold
@yaorenliu I love the big green stuffed ones. lucky I am not allergic to olive trees as I have a couple of small wild ones in my garden which I have to keeep chopping back so they dont take over
Wow! I love olives and even if they were wild I'd pick them if they grew in my backyard, but we get only bottled olives here as they are not grown in India. Like the shot, it captures the olives at various stages of ripening.
@anjalikoli thankyou for your comment. My favourite olives are the big green ones stuffed with either red peppers or cheese. they are sold loose in our supermarkets. I have a friend who marinates them and gives us a large bottle each year. they dont last long with me around!

I heard that olive trees can make you allergic.
