@naomima @nefrit @nanm @vega thanks for your comments. would love to be able to see inside the nest. All seemed very quiet whilst I was there. Its really only about 5 or 6 inches high and I had to get down close to snap it

That's incredible--how long does it take for them to build the mountain? Everyone talks about their sisters, and their cousins, and their ants....

@golder365mjsmith they seem to be able to do it over night If it rains too heavily they sometimes have to do some renovations. sometimes a wandering dog will also create devastation but they just rebuild. I dont think they are very big ants either. Its amazing to see the little balls of mud they bring to the surface.
