winter blanket! by cruiser

winter blanket!

I have a very large rather out of control back garden and during winter it is smothered in Soursobs (Oxalis). I dont like to spray it with weedkiller and the alternative is to feed it to death or pull it out! I've given up now and usually just leave it and enjoy the greenness.
You have huge backyard-love the collage of greens !!:)

I know the feeling Chris..........sob, sob. My garden is full of weeds right now and makes me unhappy to look at it!

I love the natural aspect of the place with the lush greenery. I very often abandon my garden - not this big, of course. Too much work to keep it always in shape.

@joemuli yes, my backyard is really too big and gets out of hand in winter. Thanks for taking time to look and comment. It means a lot to me

@naomima @leananiemand thanks to both of you. It does look lush but because we have very wet winters its impossible to keep under control without spending every day working on it

@gigiflower I would love a garden under control but I its a bit past me now and my husband hardly knows a weed from a flower :)

@sangwann thanks Dione. 37 years ago when we moved here it was easy to look after but the spirit's still willing but the body not so much

Haha, enjoy it! It looks pretty, actually. Since it's Winter, I don't think it really matters, right? :)

Beautiful piece of property you have. Can you believe they sell the white and lavender varieties in the nursery here? It is one weed I love, especially when in bloom.

@nefrit goodness me. Its amazing how a plant can be such a pest in some countries and sold as a garden specimen in others.

@kanelipulla I shall post a piv of it when it is in flower
