on the run

on our way back from Broken Hill we saw large flocks of Emus. I took some closer shots but thought this one best showed the type of country we were passing through. Looks better on black I think.
The wide angle shows up beautifully on black, and what a delight it would be to see them in the wild like this! Now "just sayin'", but I happen to know they enjoy a cookie now and then...

Great shot of the wild life. Although I see barbed wires so I think it is n`t true wild life.

good to see them in numbers :) @pyrrhula barbed wire has nothing to do with wildlife or not. wildlife will ignore barbed wire fencing put up by a person who thinks the 'own' a piece of land. I have barbed wired fending around my property, but the koalas and wallabies come and go as wildlife will :)

sorry to comment again - if you wondered in my comment above how would an emu get thru barbed wire? - they can jump incredibly high especially when on the run

If this was in my neck of the woods, they'd all be White-tailed deer. Great shot!
