When I arrived at the gardens, I asked if the water lilies were still blooming. I was told that they had probably been removed due to a cold spell two weeks ago. I was so disappointed, because I had hoped to take pictures of the water lilies one more time this year. When I got down to the island garden, I almost jumped up and down with glee. Not only were the water lilies there, but almost all of them were in good shape. What a nice surprise!
