Frozen Lines and Patterns

When the puddle froze over night, the ice froze in patterns and lines. It was like someone had created an abstract piece of art while I slept. The ice in the top two-thirds is the ice in the middle of the puddle. The ice in the bottom one-third is the ice near the edge of the puddle.
No artist can ever compete with Providence's amazing touch!

@pyrrhula I like that terminology: "ice flowers". What a beautiful description for a beautiful winter pattern.
