The male goldfinch kept his eye on me as I took pictures of the birds at the bird feeder. The goldfinches comd and go here. They arrived in late fall in time to eat the seeds from the sunflowers in the garden. They then flew on south. Now, they are back from the south and are eating the sunflower seeds from the bird feeder. I wish I could make the goldfinches stay all year round, but I guess then they would not be so special to me. The BW version of this photo is in my main album, as I am working on the flash or red (BW) challenge this month.
This is beautiful and far superior to the b/w image in my eye The b/w image only gives us the line and shape , light and shadow but a beautiful little bird also needs colour to give it a complete picture --This is not a criticism but my personal point of view. fav
@beryl Thank you for your comments. I keep trying with the BW photos of birds. Birds is one of the monthly themes for the local photo club. We enter in both color and BW. I prefer the color bird shots myself.
