I am experimenting with sepia. I tried to give this photo an aged look by using sepia. Any advice and/or suggestions about sepia are welcome.
Thanks for all of the advice you have given so far. I found an article about sepia photography. http://cameras.about.com/od/Beginner_Photography_tips/a/What-Is-Sepia-Photography.htm It sounds like that good sepia photogrphy relies upon the same elements that makes good black and white photography. I will practice some more, based on this information. Thanks to all of you for your support and encouragement.
Nice job- I just play with it when I use it. You can also add a sepia vignette around the edge to finish it off. Some programs also have different vintage settings that give you sepia and a crackled look like an old photo. Ribbet, BeFunky and iPiccy are all free on line and I think if you're an ace member you can also use Picmonkey on here.
@archaeofrog Thanks! I noticed the focus was on the bird's wings and body. This bird was really moving quickly. I just focused on whatever I could. Now, I know to focus on the eyes.
